Xàbia will raise a dike on the Arenal beach before the rain and weather alert

The City Council of Xàbia will activate, this afternoon, the CECOPAL (Operational Coordination Center at the local level) to coordinate all available means with which to respond to this pre-emergency and monitor the entire episode.

And, as already announced from the State Meteorological Agency, the entire province of Alicante is on orange alert for heavy rains. According to the forecast, as of Wednesday, up to 40 liters per square meter could be accumulated in 1 hour or 100 liters / m2 in 12 hours.

At the moment, in Xàbia the usual preventive work has begun to be carried out and in the next few hours a containment dam will be built on the Arenal beach.
