Triumphs for the cadet teams of Club Handbol Xàbia
The cadet teams of the Handbol Xábia Club go on vacation with perfectly done homework, as in their 2017 farewell parties, they scored very clear victories.
In male cadet, the team led by Pep Hierro clearly beat Hanbol Dénia by 52 to 29. A logical difference considering that the first classified, the Xàbia team, faced the last Dénia team.
It was an entertaining match to watch for the spectators, but the ones that the coaches didn't like, there were hardly any defenses and it was a give and take with goal exchanges. In this form of play, the Handbol Xàbia Club demonstrated its enormous clarity. The dianenses could only endure the first five minutes of the game when the scoreboard marked a five-goal tie.
From that moment on, a defensive change by the Xabieros, with much more intensity and pressure, caused many turnovers in the dianenses. The rapid defense-attack transitions detonated the defensive system of the visitors. At halftime, the match was totally decided and a scoreboard from 30 to 12.
The second part followed the same trend, very little defense by the two teams, a lot of speed in the game and easy goals. In summary, it was not one of the best matches played in the municipal pavilion; but the local team, is still first in the classification, since it seems very difficult to lose.
Girls play display
The cadets of the Handbol Xàbia Club made an authentic display of good play in their triumph against Salesianos Elche, who they beat by 40 to 19. In the Miguel Buigues pavilion one of the best matches of this season was witnessed by the girls who directs Pep Hierro. They began very concentrated, getting to put with a clear 5 to 0. From that moment they relaxed excessively, giving wings to the people from Elche who approached the scoreboard (6-5).
After this small fright, the locals returned to play a handball of a great level, dismaying with good collective plays the good defense of Elche. The break was reached with a marker from 23 to 11. The second part was a continuation of what was seen in the first, Pep Hierro gave many minutes of play to all the players who responded perfectly as shown by the goal statistics.
Very good match of each and every one of the premises, which remain second and with the classification to the second phase insured.
