Test the new system platform for shooting fireworks

The Festival Department of Xàbia has made, today Thursday, a test of the new platform system that has been commissioned to fire the fireworks castle on the next 8 day in September. The objective of the test was to check the stability and buoyancy of the system and to detect in which points it has to be reinforced. We must remember that due to an autonomous decree, which prevents pyrotechnics from launching less than 500 meters from an area classified as forestry, from the City Council and the Festival commission have sought an alternative that meets the regulations and can launch the traditional castle of the end of the party.

The president of the Comissió Mare de Déu de Loreto explained that "As in the previous year, we will install some aquatic platforms in front of La Grava beach, although this year, they have undergone some small modifications, with the aim of improving the firing of the fires". For his part, the Councilor for Fiestas, Antonio Miragall, has indicated that it is a system that was tested last year and that this year,"We wanted to improve to give it more stability. Thus, one of the plates that was already used last year now adds two new plates with an aluminum base, all of them of 42 square meters and a greater height".
