Podium for Araceli Seguí in 'VI Camí dels Bandolers'by Senija

The town of Senija hosted the mountain race, VI Camí dels Bandolers, a classic of this type of tests in the Marina Alta region. In the first hour of the morning, the test in both modalities began in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento of the municipality of Senija. The first most popular with a route of 15 kilometers and the second of 25 kilometers. There was a third modality, the one of hiker that realized on a route of 10 kilometers.

The course of the race ran through mountain and rural terrain (trails, ravines, roads and forest tracks). The 25 kilometer test had a positive cumulative vertical gain of 1.372 meters, while in the 15 kilometers test, the accumulated positive difference was 524 meters.

Note that in the short test, the xabiera, Araceli Seguí managed to get on the podium to be third in the senior category with a time of 3: 50.07. The best in this category was Flavia Orz, with a time of 3: 32.07. The second place went to Estefanía Femenía with a record of 3: 39.22. We must also highlight Mª Carmen Vallés who was fifth in Veteranas with a time of 3: 50.07.

In this distance, Rolf Jong, from Llebeig Xàbia Athletics Club, was 15º in Veterans with a time of 3: 02.18 and Julio Almazán was 16º in Veterans with a mark of 3: 02.20.

The absolute podium in men occupied it, Llorenc Monserrat with a mark of 2: 22.43, followed by Ximo Pellicer with a time of 2: 27.08 and Juan Mondejar with 2: 30.14.

In women, the best was Roser Nicolau, with a time of 3: 00.38, followed by Dianense, Elisa García, with a brand of 3: 20.26 and Ana Guevara with a 3 record: 28.06

In the race of the 15 kilometers, the xabieros, Juan Manuel Andrés occupied the 24º senior position with a 1 registry: 52.34 and Xavi Monfort occupied the 18º position in Veterans with an 1 brand: 55.21.
