The solidarity activity of the Rotary Club of Jávea is not limited to the municipal term that welcomes it, but also reaches other geographical points of the world where there are many more needs. One of the members of the Club, Ángel Palomar made, last November, a trip together with some friends with his SUV through Morocco.

The trunk of the vehicle was loaded with solidarity: backpacks with school supplies, shoes, shirts, glasses and medicines were distributed by different locations in the African country.

The backpacks were donated by Carmen Alessanco, around 60 pairs of shoes and slippers donated by Nino's del Arenal, 500 t-shirts ceded by the BBVA offices in Xàbia, basic medications such as paracetamol ceded by the Moraira and Calp clinics of Benidorm Clinic Hospital and the glasses donated by the NGO of Gata de Gorgos, Altaria Cooperation.

During his trip, Palomar distributed these donations to towns such as Tetouan, Merzouga or Er Chebi, with whom he maintains a close collaboration since he visits them annually and through the Rotary he tries to cover some of the needs they detect in these Moroccan municipalities.

On the way back, without the glasses, without the backpacks, without the shoes or the t-shirts, Palomar's 4x4 was lightened in weight and prepared to take the road home with the feeling of having fulfilled his mission of one more year "Transporter" with which he brings a little illusion to other people who show his love and welcome every year.

In addition, the Rotary Club Jávea continues with its actions at the local level and this weekend it will visit the Cholbi Brothers Asylum, the Bon Retir residence and the Virgen de la Soledad de Ondara residence. There they will deliver various personal hygiene and first-need material donated by members and friends of the club.
