Mateo Carbonell and Arthur Baker, from the Jávea Yacht Club, reap important achievements in the Spanish Optimist Championship

Last weekend the Spanish Team Optimist Championship was held, where the sailors from Club Náutico Jávea Mateo Carbonell and Arthur Baker achieved a great performance. Carbonell was fourth overall and Arthur Baker was runner-up in sub13.

The appointment was attended by Mateo Carbonell, Raúl Martínez, Liam Woods, Arthur Baker, Begoña and Elena Pérez Manglano and Carlota Gómez, with the fleet coach, Julián Viciano. And after the 12 sleeves disputed, Mateo Carbonell was the fourth overall, yes, after being third all the days. For his part, Arthur Baker was runner-up in the sub13 category and Begoña Pérez Manglano was fourth in the girls' sub13 classification.

Yacht Club Jávea sailors in the Spanish Team Optimist Championship

The results of the rest of the members of the Optimist fleet of the Jávea Yacht Club were: Raúl Martínez who was 23 of the absolute general, Liam Woods 32, Carlota Gómez who was 74 and Elena Pérez Manglano 103; of a test in which 174 sailors participated.

These good results of the Optimist fleet of the Jávea Yacht Club contributed to the Valencian Sailing Federation achieving the Spanish championship for autonomies.
