The 'pink containers' have already arrived in Duanes de la Mar
As announced, the pink glass recycling containers that have a beneficial purpose for the fight against cancer are already present in the area of the port of Xàbia, in Duanes de la Mar. Today, the councilwoman of Duanes, Marta Bañuls, activist María Ferrer and the president of the Xàbia Port merchants, Cande Ros, have encouraged citizens to contribute their grain of sand and collaborate with recycling and the fight for cancer.
The two containers of the campaign Recycle for them They will be during 15 days in the marine neighborhood and are installed on the seafront of La Grava beach, in front of the waste and recycling container islet.
It should be remembered that two weeks ago they were located in the historic center, where the citizens showed their solidarity, since a total of four igloos were filled in the 15 days they were present. The activist of Xàbia, María Ferrer, has highlighted the involvement of residents of the region "that they move in several occasions until Xàbia to collaborate in this cause contributing great amount of glass".
The aim of this national campaign in which Ecovidrio (company responsible for the management of glass recycling) collaborates is to donate a portion of benefits to the Sandra Ibarra Foundation for solidarity with cancer to contribute to the prevention, information and awareness of this disease .
