The Xàbia Police reinforces the canine unit

The Local Police of Xàbia has had a new member in the canine unit for a few weeks. It is about 'Khalan', a Belgian Malinois puppy who is being trained to search for missing persons.

As explained by the Councilor for Citizen Security, Pepa Gisbert, the dog has begun its training with the same canine handler who is in charge of Kosmo, the other member of the canine unit and who will be dedicated to tasks related to the search for narcotics, preventive controls, event security protocols
special and also at the educational and prevention level.

Khalan is being trained by rescue and rescue specialists and when he is ready he will be another resource available to the rescue teams of the Advanced Command Post in any search device for people both in Xàbia and in the place where he is required.

The Local Police today presented the mayor, José Chulvi, both Khalan and Kosmo, who even made a brief demonstration of their great progress in locating narcotics.
