The low mass of the Marina Alta plays in favor of hospitality

28 2020 April - 08: 48

To work so that the Marina Alta offers and generates maximum security: that is the objective of the Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs (AEHTMA). Hoteliers have their minds set on reopening bars, restaurants, hotels and other services to save the summer campaign, and are waiting for the publication of the concrete conditions. AEHTMA General Secretary, Reme Cerdà, highlights the advantage of living in an area with little overcrowding and with a lot of space: "Our territory has good conditions for people to come safely: wide beaches, natural parks, a hospital with many places."

The president of the restaurateurs of Xàbia (ARX), José Manuel Piña, supports this positive argument, pointing out that there is not a large concentration of inhabitants in the region. For her part, Cristina Sellés, President of AEHTMA, sends a message of optimism, encouragement and drive: "It is urgent to reactivate the economy because we cannot live on aid, we must save our businesses."
