The opposition of Xàbia requests the implementation of the horizontal professional career to officials

In the plenary session held this past Monday, corresponding to the ordinary call for this month of November, the opposition political parties (PP, Compromís, Ciudadanos por Jávea and Ciudadanos) presented a motion proposing to start the procedures to implement the professional career horizontal (opportunity for promotion in the job) that allows the promotion of the entire staff of the City Council of Xàbia.

This motion had the support of the government team and in which the mayor, José Chulvi, made reference to the call already made for internal promotion during his term.

Likewise, the spokespersons of the municipal opposition groups propose updating the professional qualification and convening a joint negotiating table of the official and labor personnel before finalizing 2019 to prepare a draft of the evaluation regulation.

The opposition requests that this action be carried out as soon as possible. Given the support of the socialist group, the mayor responsible for this area, Pepa Gisbert, indicated that she agreed with the proposal but not with the forms of requesting it, "This issue could have been discussed at the negotiating table."
