February 26 from 2021 - 10: 34

The new update of data on the evolution of the coronavirus in the municipalities of the Community provided by the Ministry of Health continues to show low numbers of infections although there has been a slight rebound in the number of new cases. In the last 3 days, the Dénia Health Department has registered 35 new positives for COVID-19, compared to the 32 that were recorded on Tuesday.

With the new data, the Marina Alta region has accumulated 9.576 positives since March, with 150 active. In this way, the cumulative incidence continues to fall below 100, specifically in 87,34 cases per 100.000 inhabitants.

The other bad news is given, again, by the number of deaths, since since the last day 8 new deaths have been added in the region, which adds up to 177 the total number of people who have lost their lives due to the coronavirus in the region. The deaths have occurred in Benissa (4), Teulada (2), Dénia (2) and Pego (1).

By municipalities, Xàbia has registered 4 new infections, the same figure that was recorded last Tuesday. Currently, the town has 21 active cases of the 1.409 confirmed since the start of the pandemic. Likewise, the town has an incidence of 76 cases per 100.000 inhabitants.

Calp has added 6 new cases, Ondara 6, Dénia 4, Gata de Gorgos 4, Teulada 3, Benissa 2, Beniarbeig 2, and 1 in Pego, Pedreguer and Orba.
