The contagion curve descends in Xàbia and the region

The contagion curve continues to remit week after week in the Dénia Health Department. In the new update provided by the Ministry of Health, a new decrease in new positives can be seen, which indicates that the curve of the fifth wave of the coronavirus pandemic is beginning to bend.

The data reflect that in the last three days, since the last update, 128 new infections have been registered throughout the region, compared to 188 last Tuesday. To date, 14.016 people have tested positive in the Marina Alta since the start of the pandemic, of which 583 are still active today.

Another positive fact is that the cumulative incidence is also low. This is located, in the Department of Health of Dénia, in 341,68 cases per 100.000 inhabitants.

Likewise, one more day, there have been no new deaths from COVID in the region, so the total number of people who have lost their lives since March 2020 remains at 205.

In the case of Xàbia, 29 new cases have been counted, compared to 40 last Tuesday, which amounts to 2.221 the total of people who have tested positive since the start of the pandemic, of which 136 cases are still active.

As for the incidence in Xàbia, it drops again, standing at 485,44 cases per 100.000 inhabitants.
