Óscar Serra, a regular Xàbia surfer, dies after falling from a wave

Valencian surfer Óscar Serra died this weekend while practicing his favorite sport in Mexico. Specifically, Serra surfed on the Zicaleta beach in Oaxaca, a frequent pilgrimage place among lovers of this sport due to its famous waves.

The Valencian surfer spent long periods in Xàbia, enjoying the town and, above all, its coast, where it was common to see him on his board.

This weekend, despite the red flag according to witnesses, Serra entered the Mexican sea and fell from one of the big waves. Despite attempts by rescuers to revive him, who pulled him out of the water, they were unable to do anything for his life.
