The Rotary Jávea lends four computers for schoolchildren in Xàbia
The Rotary Jávea learned, through one of its members, that in one of the Institutes of Xàbia there were families that did not have computers, which prevented schoolchildren from continuing with classes and finishing the course.
Thus, after contacting the center's management, the club has temporarily transferred four computers, donated by BBVA, to students of Compulsory Secondary Education who were having difficulty following the distance learning process during confinement by COVID- 19. Families must return the computers at the end of the school period.
From the club, we maintain contact with the Department of Social Services in order to provide help within the framework of the Solidarity Table of the Xàbia City Council to provide service in the community, when a need that falls within our objectives is detected.
In addition, the board has the project underway 'We listen to you' It allows older or lonely people to hear and speak to the voice of another person, in order to convey their support and strength in these times of confinement.
