The Jávea Yacht Club is among the three best in the entire Valencian Community
The "A Sea of Champions" gala, organized by the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community, has recognized the sporting successes of the region's sailing sailors. Among them, 12 athletes from the Jávea Yacht Club.
The gala was held at the Panoramis Business Center in Alicante and there José Luis Boronat, Mateo Carbonell, Lucy Crosbie, Carlota Gómez, Raul Martinez, Julia Martínez, Pablo Momparler, Alex Ortega, Begoña Pérez-Manglano, Elena Pérez-Manglano took the stage , Nando Puig and Arantza Reig. All of them reaped great successes during the 2022 season both at the regional, national and even international level.
Among the most outstanding successes achieved during the past season by the Club's sailors are:
- Elena Pérez Manglano, who was third in the European Optimist team championship.
- Alex Ortega, the best in the Youth Formula Windsurfin Foil European Championships.
- José Luis Boronat, Spanish Funboard and Slalom Foil champion.
- Carlota Gómez, Fernando Puig, Elena and Begoña Pérez Manglano were national team optimist champions.
- Mateo Carbonell, Raul Martínez, Carlota Gómez, Elena Pérez Manglano, Fernando Puig and Begoña Pérez Manglano, regional Optimist team champions.
- Arantza Reig and Lucy Crosbie, who were regional 420 champions.
- Pablo Momparler was first in the Bic Techno 293 regional cup.
- Julia Martínez was the best in girls in the regional cup and in the regional championship of Bic Techno 293 sub17.
The successes of these sailors place Club Náutico Jávea in the top 3 of the best in the entire Community for results obtained, behind much larger entities such as the Real Club Náutico de Valencia or Torrevieja.
At the gala, the sailors were accompanied by the Sailing board member, Carlos Carbonell, the sports director, Javier Momparler, the coaches, Julián Viciano and Fernando Puig.
