The Xàbia City Council has reported, through its beach status channel, the maritime part scheduled for this Wednesday, July 6.
As indicated by the Xàbia Red Cross beach lifeguard team:
- Surf: The forecast marks swell peaks between 0,8 and 1 meter and wind from the Northeast.
- surf zones: Some surf can be generated mainly around Cap Prim, the east face of l'Illa del Portitxol or Cap Negre, as well as the Primer and Segundo Montañar, Granadella and Arenal, slightly at these latter points.
- Non-motorized sea excursions: the lifeguards indicate that if bathers plan to take an excursion along our coastline and navigate without a motor, they should take into account that currents can be generated that make it difficult to cross back from Cap Negre to Barraca, as well as from En Caló to La Granadella.
- Northern area of Xàbia: it is also not advisable to cross the Cap de San Antoni towards Cova Tallada by sea if you are not sailing by motor (especially between 12:00 and 18:00) as the wind can hinder progress.
Recommendations
- Mobile charged and protected from water
- Inform family and/or friends of the route to be carried out with a possible return time.
- Inform yourself at the aid station closest to the exit of the specific risks of the area and maritime conditions of the day.
