Last summer Compromís per Xàbia announced that, through its senator Carles Mulet, a series of questions were presented to the Government about the need to carry out actions in this space adjacent to the Minister's chale, for the adaptation and preservation of cultural and environmental heritage dels “Banys de la Reina.

These questions were answered by the government, claiming that the concession was a regulated act, thus expressing its intention not to revoke the concession. In addition, it was reported that the coast service had contacted the owners of the San Rafael farm to adapt their plot.

Conscious of not obtaining a specific answer, Compromís asked again if the place had been cleaned and adapted. Fact that provoked another response from the government revealing that the concessionaires had presented a draft of the Action Plan that had deficiencies and that they were still waiting to approve the final one to proceed with the removal of debris.

Given these facts, the municipal spokesman, Juan Cardona, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the action and affirms “Not understanding so much delay in cleaning and adapting the place. In addition to being surprised that the government maintains the privileges inherited from the dictatorship ”.

For his part, Senator Mulet has conveyed that “They will continue to ask and press for this situation to finally be resolved, in favor of the people of Xàbia. If the PSOE and UP government truly believes in reparation and historical memory, we must return these lands to the citizens ".
