Citizens require information on the status of the new cleaning contract of Xàbia

"Xàbia is still dirty and the solutions are still not coming." This is how blunt the Councilor for Citizens, Enrique Escrivá, has shown, in writing, to the Department of Services for information on the procedures for the new waste collection contract.

Escrivá requests clarification "Whether or not there will be a new cleaning and garbage collection contract this year. We Javians have the right to know if the government team is doing their homework and has taken some steps so that Xàbia has a cleaning and garbage collection service that works ".

The spokesman for Citizens recalled that Xàbia has been with this service for almost twelve years "He has received numerous complaints and is with the second extension of the contract about to come to an end. The procedures of the new contract are still in 'standby' and we do not know what will happen in November with the service of greater amount of the City Council".

The mayor of the orange formation has qualified "The streets of Xàbia are still dirty and some green spots collapsed." Escrivá has influenced that "The government team must get down to work and the same councilor in charge of the area, who recognized deficiencies in the cleaning service, should bet on the
transparency and explanations about whether the government team plans to have a new garbage collection and cleaning contract in November that will provide a better service, or if everything is going to continue
same".

From the Department of Services, the mayor Kika Mata, explained to Xàbia.com that is working on the sheet, "which is already written and is meeting the deadlines". Mata has pointed out that "We have been studying this document for almost two years so that it complies with all legislation. We have studied the best measures and services that adapt to the needs of Xàbia."

The mayor has indicated that at this time is in the process of prior consultations and "If the deadlines are met, by 2020 there will be a new service."
