More than 1.500 euros for Ukraine has managed to raise this Sunday the traditional book and toy market that Cáritas celebrates monthly on the Paseo Marítimo de Jávea. It is estimated that more than 1.000 people have come to the market, willing to contribute with their donation to this extraordinary collection promoted by the Caritas of the parishes of San Bartolomé and Loreto. Cáritas appreciates everyone's generosity.

Usually, books and toys are sold in markets for the symbolic amount of 1 euro, although this time, given the destination of the funds, residents of Jávea have offered other types of objects, which have allowed much more to be collected. Among the singular pieces, some coffee sets, ornaments and solidarity ties with the colors of the Ukrainian flag made by volunteers and the Caritas sewing workshop have been sold.

This action is one more response to the call of the Valencian Church to carry out extraordinary collections in support of the people of Ukraine, as has been done in all the temples.
