Benitatxell enables three parking areas for commercial use in Mayor and La Pau streets
The City Council of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell has enabled three new parking areas limited to commercial use on La Pau and Mayor streets. This measure aims to provide preferential parking for customers and thus
promote shopping in small shops in the urban center. At the same time, this area will facilitate the loading and unloading of goods for small carriers.
"With this we want to solve a historical problem of lack of rotation of vehicles in the old town and give a small push to local commerce, which is the engine of this town," said the mayor, Miguel Ángel García.
The zones are marked with yellow horizontal signs and vertical informative signs. The hours for commercial use parking are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and from 16:30 p.m. to 20:30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. The rest of the time slots, Sundays and holidays are free for all residents.
It is recalled that the maximum stop time is 20 minutes and citizens are called upon to make proper use of the areas, refraining from prolonged parking at the indicated time.
