Athlete Patricio Doucet performs one of 17 ironman solidarity in Xàbia

There is no better action than solidarity and helping others. That is the purpose of Argentine athlete Patricio Doucet who since the 18 of August has begun in a solidarity-sport adventure. During 17 days, Doucet runs the 17 Spanish autonomous communities in order to help the Association Tinguafaya, a non-profit organization working in Lanzarote with the aim of improving the quality of care of people with intellectual disabilities.

Under the title, 17 Challenge, every day a Spanish community awaits you to do an Ironman: 3,8 Km of swimming, 180 Km by bike and 42,2 Km of running on foot for 17 consecutive days. In the absence of three Ironman or what is the same, three days after getting the challenge, Patricio has made the challenge of the Valencian Community in Xàbia with Manuel Luna, physical trainer who has been responsible for organizing this event in the municipality and accompany him and they have joined other xabieros like Jesus Alhambra and swimmer José Ramón García, who performed the swim test.

The swim test has been in the Port of Xábia, in the bike section, the athletes and their companions have traveled from the port of Xábia to Sueca and return and the last stretch, the race has been carried out on the avenue of the Mediterranean.

At the end of the sporting challenge, the Argentine athlete, based in Lanzarote will have made more than 4000 km with which he hopes to have raised an economic aid for the Association to which can be collaborated buying kilometers, ie making a donation or buying the challenge t-shirt. The money collected will be destined to adapt a vehicle for the transfers of the children of the Association Tinguafaya.
