The Convent of the Agustinas de Xàbia had a full house this weekend with the concert of the musical group Ars Nova and Xicotet Ars. The latter showed its growth, with twice the number of members than last year, as well as its great evolution.
The little ones surprised the public with their staging, with songs of notable difficulty such as the Christmas cantata Feast the manger by Lluís Vila and the work Christmas lullaby by John Rutter.
It should be noted that in the first part of the concert, ARS NOVA solo, he showed a selection of Christmas pieces with very varied characteristics. They highlighted the fragments of the Song of Sibil la, with two stanzas only performed by Carme Català, and which was a small tasting of this liturgical drama.
The audience was moved by the performance of the night of the mother, and then, Manuel Palau's Nadalenca caused a few laughs from those present.
Finally, we must highlight the work of maestro Rubén Penadès, as well as the pianist Sílvia Ferrer and the teachers and pianists in charge of PETIT ARS.
