l'Hospital Policlínic Sant Carles de Xàbia atén 2.000 pacients en quatre mesos, en tan sols les dues especialitats de Rehabilitació i Medicina general. Així doncs, es tracta dels dos més demandades respecte a les altres especialitzacions de l'Hospital.
En aquests quatre mesos enrere han anat augmentant els pacients en aquestes dues especialitats i en les altres, convertint-Sant Carles en un centre de referència entre els habitants de la localitat de Xàbia, des que va obrir a 2014.
"La creixent activitat que registren les nostres consultes en aquesta localitat de gairebé 28.000 habitants (INE 2015), demostren la necessitat real que tenien de comptar amb assistència sanitària propera i de qualitat", afirmen des de l'hospital.
Un dels motius pels quals Sant Carles seguix creixent, és la proximitat amb els pacients i ciutadans de Xàbia. Ja que abans de la seua obertura els pacients havien de recórrer grans distàncies per accedir a prestacions mèdiques com Rehabilitació o consultes de Medicina Interna, per aquest motiu ara, sigan aquestes les especialitats que més demanda presenten.
A més de la proximitat, el Centre d'Especialitats també ofereix agilitat en l'atenció clínica com en Medicina General, on les cites es poden fixar fins i tot per al mateix dia en què la sol·licita el pacient o l'espera mínima per accedir a Rehabilitació, que no arriba a una setmana.
