Ximo Puig visits the areas affected by 'Gloria' and highlights "Xàbia's ability to react to normalize the situation"

On the occasion of the Consell meeting in the Javea Town Hall, held on Friday morning, by the Winter 2020 Seminar that will take place this weekend in the Marina Alta, members of the Valencian government have made different visits to the municipalities of the region to learn about each of the projects that They are carried out from the Generalitat.

Among the different visits, the President, Ximo Puig, stands out, along with the Mayor of Xàbia, to the coast of Xàbia to check, first hand, the damage caused by the storm Gloria. Puig has approached the first Montañar and the Playa del Arenal, where, after checking the large number of flaws and the evolution of the works that the City Council has coordinated to return to normality, he has outlined, "the capacity of reaction of the city councils to normalize the situation after the passing of the Gloria storm in order to face the tourist campaign of Holy Week in the best conditions".

Puig, who has seen, through images, how the walk was after the storm and how was the operation that was launched to return security and a dignified image to the place in less than a week, has shown its firm support since Consell Xàbia and all the municipalities affected by the storm Gloria through measures such as the aid decree, and has also advocated establishing structural measures of "respect for the environment" and boost sustainability.

"Sustainability is a basic axis of the tourism proposal and the city of Jávea and that is what we think should be done in the Valencian Community as a whole", said the President.

On the other hand, taking advantage of the visit to Xàbia, Ximo Puig has approached the Municipal market Xàbia and he has talked with the vendors and neighbors, at the same time that he has made a tour of the facilities together with the mayor of Xàbia.
