The president of the Valencian Government, Ximo Puig, has indicated that the Consell will work on the design of measures so that citizens can access the beaches this summer with adequate security conditions, a possibility that is contemplated as "real".
Puig has made progress in this regard by convening a meeting with the departments involved in security, territory and tourism to develop standards that will cover the different possible scenarios.
The head of the Consell has stressed that the Government will open this Tuesday a stage of transition to normality, in which the Generalitat is committed to introducing the uniqueness of the actions in the Valencian Community.
"The possibility that in the summer Valencian women and other visitors can go to the beaches is considered as real"Puig has pointed out, adding: "We are going to work together with the government on basic rules of behavior in the new normal."
"Our desire is that the beaches can be accessible this summer and, for that, we have to have all the necessary measures to guarantee safety", stressed the president. "It cannot be missed this summer; we believe that there can be an adequate use of the right to go to the beach", has added.
"Beaches, yes, but for sure", Puig has indicated, who has specified in this regard that both the current scenario of co-responsibility of the citizenry with the institutions will be contemplated, which allows optimal progress, and a more complicated scenario, which makes it necessary to have all the preventions planned.
