Xàbia once again hosts the 'Ojos Rojos' Photography Festival

14 September 2020 - 08: 38

The II International Festival of Spanish and Latin American Photography returns to Xàbia integrating an extensive program of exhibitions that show diverse visual narratives, following the dynamics and philosophy of the organization.

The works, from both sides of the Atlantic, seek to bring the viewer closer to the infinite possibilities of seeing. The authors of the works offer the public the opportunity to get closer to the visual creators of these exhibitions and that they can share their experiences with them is another of the attractions that this festival presents.

In addition, as in the first edition, the festival is organized by the Arteria Urbana collective and is complemented by talks and workshops given by renowned authors that make it possible for the amateur to understand photography from many more perspectives.

In this edition, the organization wants to reclaim the street as an exhibition setting where the photographs themselves are related to everyday urban objects, forming part of the city, creating a visual game different from the usual one, in this way inviting to see new environments and new experiences to viewers.

Also, due to the situation that exists throughout the country due to COVID-19, online content is being prepared so that no one is left without enjoying the exhibitions and talks.

In the presentation of this act, the Councilor for Culture, Quico Moragues, has valued the great effort of the organizers to overcome the difficult situation of this year and also to the Photographic Association of Xàbia (AFX) for the support it provides to the festival.
