Xàbia processes the environmental permits to be able to build the Génova street bridge

May 11 from 2022 - 16: 21

El Javea Town Hall An extraordinary plenary session will be held on Monday to accept the conditions of the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation and the Secretary of State for the Environment to obtain the necessary concession to build a new bridge over the Gorgos River at Génova Street.

The council has begun the preliminary steps to channel this municipal project, which will serve to give continuity to Génova street and unite it with Manuel Bordes Valls street, thus planning an infrastructure that will allow the reorganization of circulation between the Duanes neighborhood and Arenal, reducing traffic along the first coastline (currently Avda. Mediterráneo).

Among these procedures, the competent bodies were asked for the concession to occupy a total of 315 square meters of the river, an area that is classified as a maritime-terrestrial public domain.

Now both the CHJ and the General Directorate of the Coast and the Sea have resolved the xicotetions and the Consistory, in plenary session, will debate accepting the technical conditions.

  1. Jose Manuel Ibanez Gil says:

For some time now, you don't see the police in the Arenal and the Port like they used to, patrolling and going around to see the badly parked cars at the Zebra and Invalides crossings, which now looks like a Lawless City. You used to talk to the agents and you felt more protected in all of Jávea. It's a shame friend Chulvi. He continues to build bridges and to those of us who come to spend money in our Cabía, take away the illusion and the trust that we had before with the Police.

  2. Paqui says:

I don't know what else to think about the city council's inability to manage resources and its priorities for it. Wasn't there no money for policemen? What a way to torture us.

Simply, I think they hate us, there is no other.

  3. Tony says:

    stupidity

Never any hold-ups on Via Augusta, north the coastal road

Genoa is a peaceful tranquil road to stroll down if you want to avoid the bikes and scooters tearing along the pavements along the coast

A complete waste of money when it could be spent on ways to improve the town

Javea is being ruined by allowing too many new apartment blocks – which give the local authorities the money to go on spending sprees which will make us into a mini-Benidorm

  4. Vecino says:

If we go like this, another bridge would have to be built apart from that one, connecting Vall del Pop street and Verona street, so we would also have to give continuity to that street, right? And thus the circulation is further reduced.
Do not leave dead ends halfway, all or none.

  5. Carmen says:

I don't understand another bridge with the things to do in Javea.
For example, Saint Tropez Street has been without public lighting for 3 years or more, streetlights torn off and others do not work, there are 5 but as if there were none. You write complaints to the City Council and they don't even answer you, what a shame..
The asphalt of the street is pitiful, full of potholes, let's say that without electricity and with holes in the asphalt, someone will soon fall, but that is if they pay taxes later, I don't know what for, if they don't solve anything

  6. no more concrete says:

That the environmentalists or something stop this, you cannot fill a river with works on all sides, there are bridges on one side and the other and now they are going to build another one in the middle, what is the point?
They want to destroy even the river instead of protecting it with more concrete, then they say that so many millions are protected so as not to build if in the end we even cover the river.
What needs to be done is to completely open the Triana bridge and let citizens circulate freely and stop restricting so much.
If they want to give continuity to the street, there will be a step in the urbanization where the Civil Guard barracks is and so it will turn around.

  7. pozi says:

Don't worry about it, maybe they'll award it, maybe they'll start the work, but without a doubt: they won't finish it.

Soon we will have one more pifostio to admire and include in the tourist guides of failed works of El Chungui.

  8. neighbor up the eggs by sociatas says:

These people are crazy in the head.

    Incapable and besides himself.

With the things that need to be solved in Jávea!

What has been said, a constant insult to the most primary logic.

  9. Arenal says:

This is a joke right? Speechless… Only that is missing. With the number of more important things to do and now they come to us with another bridge.

  10. Mireille says:

Noooo , please , let them go over the Via Augusta bridge which is huge and empty half the time and is very close to the Genoa
