El Javea Town Hall will vote, today Thursday, in the convocation of an extraordinary plenary session, the approval of the public exhibition of the expropriation projects necessary to develop two roundabouts in the CV 734 (Carretera de Gata). These are two files promoted by the councils of Heritage and Urban Scene to improve road safety through roundabouts that regulate the access to the cemetery and the future industrial estate of Catarrojes by Ramblars.
The Consistory has already prepared the expropriation projects (that affect in each case between 10 and 12 owners) and reserved the money to pay for them, in total about 80.000 euros. All the expropriations are of small extensions of land classified as agricultural, except one that affects industrial land.
The plenary session must now approve the public exhibition of these expropriations in order to close this previous step and that the Ministry of Housing, Public Works and Vertebration of the Territory can begin to develop the construction of one of the roundabouts, located at the intersection of the Municipal Cemetery and that it will be entirely financed by the Generalitat.
In fact, the Valencian government already has reserved 500.000 euros in the accounts of 2019 for this work proposed with a biannual execution (its full cost is one million euros). The second of the roundabouts is still in the projection phase.
These infrastructures are also strategic for the development of the industrial estate in the Catarrojes area, which already has technical projects ready for urbanization. The first phase is scheduled to be launched next year: Catarrojes 1. This regulation covers 26.625 square meters distributed in 12 plots.
The roundabout to the cemetery ok. but the one of the polygon to Catarrojes better to leave it for when certain industrial developments are seen. Now it is simply a utopia and for utopias, the money better to use it in works of sidewalks that are infernal.
