El Javea Town Hall joins the campaign to collect emergency material for the Ukrainian people organized by the Generalitat and the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
The collection will begin this Wednesday, March 9 and -initially- will last until March 18. The collection is centralized in the Casal Foguerer (located on a ground floor in Plaza Constitución) and will be coordinated by the Xàbia Civil Protection volunteers. The Local Police will also collaborate with a mailbox at the checkpoint in case someone is unable to make the donation during the hours of the official collection point.
In order for Xàbia's help to be as useful as possible, it has been decided to focus it on products whose reception is of extreme necessity: hygiene and sanitary material, especially first aid.
We ask the citizens for maximum collaboration in this humanitarian aid action and compliance with the requirements set: that they be unopened containers and in the case of hygiene, in small-format containers to facilitate their distribution.
Other types of materials (neither textiles nor food) will not be collected as they communicate that, at present, the demand is sufficiently covered.
