Xàbia is presented in Fitur as an enjoyable destination 365 days a year

January 18 from 2023 - 13: 01

Xàbia is, one more year, present at the great event of the tourism sector in our country: FITUR, a reference meeting for companies and professionals in the sector that is held this week at IFEMA Madrid. Integrated into the Costa Blanca stand, the municipality has a counter with all the current promotional material, both for natural enclaves and proposals for active or cultural tourism.

And is that the Town hall is presented this year with the brand 'Xàbia in Viu', which brings together all the music festivals that are held in the town (jazz, folk, blues, classical, swing, traditional, percussion or rock) and the cultural and leisure program with the population makes it clear that it is a destination that can be enjoyed 365 days of the year.

Under this premise, the mayor, José Chulvi, and the Councilors of Tourism and Culture, Tony Miragall y Quico Moragues, in the promotional action 'Tourism Planning and New Projects' organized by the Costa Blanca.

Miragall recalled that Xàbia has been planning its policies with deseasonalization as an objective for years. from the brand #Xàbia365 to campaigns like Winter's sun o I dream of Xàbia They emphasize that the villa is much more than a sun and beach destination.

The mayor has detailed that these policies maintained for years are bearing fruit and beginning "to put an end to the great imbalance that we had between the summer and the rest of the year" as many economic sectors such as tourist rentals or restaurants that all work have already verified. on weekends and every year they see how the middle season gets longer.

"We have always fought so that our majority visitor profile -second residences- come not only in summer, but that they come more times or change their stay to other quieter seasons in which they can discover our essence as a Mediterranean town" he pointed out. the first mayor

The attractions of Xàbia

Xàbia has some undoubted natural attractions: 20 kilometers of coastline, with a growing nautical offer and active sports, forest areas such as the Natural Park as the Montgo or the granadella with countless routes and a climate that allows you to enjoy the outdoors practically all year round. Also architectural heritage, an important hotel and gastronomic offer and a modern and comxicotetive local trade.

“As a council we are focusing on complementing these attractions available 365 days a year with a powerful cultural and leisure agenda. In the whole year there is not a weekend without culture. Theatre, music, literature or continuous exhibitions in the three municipal halls that combine emerging artists with top-level proposals such as those promoted in the last two years dedicated to Sorolla or Balenciaga” has listed the Councilor for Culture, Quico Moragues.

Chulvi has also valued the intense annual festive calendar, which reflects the tradition and joyful character of Xàbia, and the one that goes hand in hand with sport. Because, he added, “we have great natural and climatic potential for practicing sports in winter. From mountain biking or road cycling to mountain athletics or water sports
(rowing, paddle surfing or sailing) which is accompanied by an important calendar of sports comxicotetions, some of them, such as Granadella Trail, a benchmark and example of how sustainability policies are compatible with profitability”.

Finally, the mayor has spoken about the "Beachworking" project to welcome, train and connect people who choose Xàbia as a place to work remotely "and at the same time live in a relaxed way and in contact with nature" .

"In short, we are here to make it clear that Xàbia has a lot to offer at any time of the year and that, whatever season you choose, you always have something to do or discover" he concluded.

Please. Does anyone know how many years are left to endure the noise of the clearing drills, in front of Santa Lucía, which by the way, acts as an amplifier and multiplies the noise produced by those machines? I imagine they have their licenses and everything, but I don't think you can have carte blanche to make so much noise for so many years. And what remains!
It is the first time that I consider leaving Jávea. I no longer see that privileged corner where there was rest for everyone, residents and tourists.
And free exhaust motorcycles...... It's not even worth mentioning anymore, unless our politicians and police are deaf.
    Is what it seems.
Congratulations Town Hall. You have killed the goose that laid the golden eggs! Your ambition is killing this town.
I urge all noise affected neighbors to call the police every time. So that every complaint is recorded.
Although this will end up in the Ombudsman, let's see if they give those responsible a well-deserved slap on the wrist.

Please read Padilla's article, today in Levante. Clearer water.

    • Lauren Bacal. says:

Apparently for Chulvi in an "achievement", his words, this massive construction. He celebrates the new construction license, he and his team are very proud of his feats, absurd but real.

The article you are talking about: » The endless echo of luxury villas in Xàbia
The new clearings in an exclusive urbanization rumble and the hammering is heard throughout the town»
It is something that is repeated in Portichol, in Puchol and throughout the Municipality, it is BRUTAL and BESTIAL.
Add to that the apartment buildings that El Pla and El Arenal see grow, day by day, sad and unfortunate.

Unfortunate because this can no longer be reversed, Chulvi's Socialism has given the finishing touch to Jávea, 11 years building as if there were no tomorrow.

With a couple of more fires and reclassifying little land, we will arrive at a fully tiled Jávea, with no trace of that beautiful Villa where I came to live.

Chulvi, congratulations, I imagine the pats of builders and companies give you on your back.
Great, I imagine that's why you laugh so much in the photos, you're happy, full of so much cement and screwing up a town like this.

Chulvi from the Auditorium, that's it!

      • Luis says:

Excellent article, just add that it is not only in Xàbia, in Dénia "Luxury" urbanizations on the first line and flood zones, La Sella Urbanization, destroying the mountain with massive constructions of "luxury" apartments.

  3. police xabiero says:

The socialists will say that Javea has less police per population ratio than any other Valencian community. This month another policeman from Javea will go to work in another municipality, this does not appear in the news Every day fewer policemen, that is if the councilors have paid per diems

  4. citizen says:

Nor does it explain the local little parties, with drunkenness, noise, bad taste, serenades for four night owls until dawn,... nor the 100 hellish days of vernoel, and their rexicotetive and glorious speeches, so happy. Foolish if he believes it, and shameless if he knows it.

  5. Luis says:

    The Tourism Dictatorship.

  6. Ramon Seneriz says:

    Two things:

It is incomprehensible that they continue to advertise Jávea with hype and cymbals, when in recent years in Jávea this has been seen to be overcrowded, there is a lack of infrastructure, the ones that exist are deteriorated and also the rate of new construction licenses is alarming.

On the other hand, what happens to Chulvi in the photos?
His appearance is strange, it seems that someone is holding him from above with some cables, like a puppet.
    Disturbing.

    • Virginia says:

Totally agree. My whole house is rumbling right now. Windows closed and without going out. What are they doing with Xàbia!
Where is the peace and landscape of a few years ago?

  7. Neighbor Arenal says:

Jávea is very attractive but the policies that are applied leave much to be desired, for local people outsiders have more privileges than Xàbieros themselves, Chulvi and his colleagues must be reminded that Fitur is not only for foreigners but for Xàbieros themselves Also, the cultural offers and leisure that they sell in Madrid is also part of the local residents that can be enjoyed by all, who lately turn their backs on them and do not count on them at all in proposals for improvements or in the participation of the people, there are to work together between citizens and the municipal corporation to give ideas and find out what our municipality really needs.
We would like to know the ideas you have with the new projects and that the public could give their opinion if it is appropriate or not.

  8. Miquel says:

The only thing that Chulvi has not said is that Jávea has the brand new Auditorium to offer visitors the cultural offer, a place to hold concerts or large events.
It's like saying I have a driver's license but I don't have a car, it scares me, so why do you get it if you're afraid of driving?
We have the best cultural offer, but do we have a venue or buildings for that?

    • outraged left says:

And another thing the mayor doesn't talk about, the embarrassing clearing of La Corona. Pure respect for the landscape, yes sir, chalets without a plot, destroy the mountain.
Where are Pepa Guardiola now and who thought that the battlements on the bell tower were a historical disaster?
      Why are they silent??
