Now, coinciding with the anniversary, the Javea Town Hall has begun an intense work to return part of this love to the figure of Sorolla. Conferences, exhibitions, sculptures, guided tours and music are some of the disciplines that will stand out in the extensive program that is being developed for the three urban centers of the town. Moragues has stated that he has also created his own brand, which will be disclosed from now on, with which Sorolla's description of Xàbia is reflected: the Cape San Antonio, the colors of the sea and the face of the painter himself lead the image of the new brand.
The mayor of Culture has wanted to review that the figure of Sorolla will be present in Xàbia and specifically in Duanes de la Mar where a life-size bronze sculpture in a realistic style will be located. This figure, as detailed by the mayor, will be the representation of Sorolla painting the Cape of San Antonio itself.
Among the wide variety of programmed activities with the support of the Sorolla Foundation, the councilor explained that there will be 14 lecterns with QR codes so that visitors can know the places from where Sorolla painted his paintings.
Moreover, the Casa del Cable will host a photographic exhibition with 61 images of the painter in which his moments lived in Xàbia will be shown.
