The new data update provided by the Ministry of Health on the evolution of the coronavirus shows a decrease in infections in the Dénia Health Department, on which the entire region depends, with respect to the previous day.
The region has recorded 380 new positive cases compared to 466 last Friday, with 12.249 the total number of people who have tested positive for COVID since the start of the pandemic. At the moment, 1.340 cases are still active in the Marina Alta.
In this way, the accumulated incidence in the region has increased slightly since the last update, going from 746,67 cases per 100.000 inhabitants (on Friday) to 785,35 cases per 100.000 inhabitants this Tuesday, which continues to be at extreme risk of contagion.
In the case of Xàbia, the new positive cases registered have been 77, three more than those recorded the last day (there were 74 new infections). The town currently has 212 active cases of the 1.860 infections that it has brought together since March 2020. The new registered infections have increased the accumulated incidence, standing at 756,71 cases per 100.000 inhabitants.
The good news is that one more day there is no record of deaths in the Dénia Health Department.
