Xàbia will reinforce this weekend the vigilance for compliance with the anti-COVID measures

May 13 from 2021 - 20: 27

Yesterday afternoon, the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig, met with mayors of tourist municipalities to coordinate the monitoring of the monitoring of the measures against COVID-19 on the first weekend without a State of Alarm.

Faced with this decision, today, the Javea Town Hall has held an extraordinary meeting on citizen security to, following the guidelines of the Ministry of the Interior, coordinate a special device for surveillance and control of compliance with health security measures that will be activated this weekend.

The meeting, called by the mayor, José Chulvi, has had the Local Police, Civil Guard, Autonomous Police, Civil Protection and Red Cross, in addition to the Councilor for Citizen Security and Emergency Prevention, Pepa Gisbert.

The security forces have agreed to reinforce their presence in the most frequented public spaces to carry out informational work and supervise compliance with distances, use of a mask and capacity in establishments.

Civil Protection will be in charge of reviewing forest parks in parallel with forest surveillance and the Red Cross will also collaborate in areas such as beaches or promenades.

Coinciding with the first weekend without the restrictions on mobility imposed by the State of Alarm and with the extension of hours, capacity and freedoms related to social gatherings, the mayor has asked the population for prudence and a last effort to activities such as the hospitality industry so that nothing puts at risk the good situation achieved or the prospects for recovery for the next few months.
