The historic center of Xàbia and the seaside neighborhood of Duanes de la Mar have welcomed the atmosphere of the festivities in honor of Sant Antoni.
After the break due to the pandemic, this weekend Xàbia has recovered part of the festive acts of San Antón, patron saint of animals. For this, today, Sunday, the traditional parade of carts, carts and horses has taken place through the urban centers of the town and port, which has been attended by numerous people.
The participants, upon their arrival at the Plaza de la Constitución, have joined the dozens of people who, with their pets, were waiting to proceed to the traditional act of blessing organized by the equestrian center of Tiraset.
With the presence of the parish priest Church of St. Bartholomew, Salvador Torrent, the blessing of the animals has begun in the presence of the image of San Antonio Abad. The act has passed normally, complying with all current hygienic-sanitary measures.
