El Javea Town Hall It has made a firebreak strip between the Montgó-Toscamar urbanization and the forest mass of the Natural Park. Specifically, forestry work has been carried out along the northern edge of this urbanization, a forest-urban interface point that is considered complex and with a high risk of fire.
The firewall has a width of 25 meters, a total area of 6,7 hectares and mainly affects pyrophyte scrub that had an excessive density. The works have been coordinated by the municipal Department of Environment and have the authorization of the Department.
