Xàbia proposes the Multipurpose Room of the Portal del Clot as a space for mass vaccination

12 2021 April - 10: 47

El Javea Town Hall has offered the Multipurpose Room of the Portal del Clot to locate the mass vaccination point of the population.

Since the Ministry of Health announced that the municipality was going to be one of the vaccination points, the Councilor for Health, Rita Berruti, has been in contact with the health team of the municipal health centers, interested in the ideal characteristics of the spaces to be proposed and the necessary equipment for this important campaign.

The Multipurpose room of the Portal del Clot is the place that meets the requirements both for proximity to the urban center and for accessibility, connectivity to service networks and possibilities to establish a reception area for people differentiated from the vaccination area itself. It would not be the first time that this room had a social health use, since since the beginning of the pandemic it has hosted the days of blood donation and has also been enabled as a temporary shelter in emergency situations.

Berruti has already shown this space to the commissioner of the Department of Health in the Marina Alta, Juan Puig, who was a few days ago in Xàbia as part of the previous coordination and preparation work for these massive vaccinations.

La mayor of Health He explained that in parallel to this campaign, the residents of Xàbia continue to be vaccinated within the two parallel processes that Health currently has active. On the one hand, the immunization process continues in the Health Center that began with those over 90 years of age and progressively decreases the age range (currently they are vaccinating people between 76 and 75 years old).

Also this week - and once the 65 and 64 year olds have been immunized - the neighbors of 63 and 62 have been summoned
years to get vaccinated in the Dénia space where the campaign for teachers has also been carried out.

The councilor has taken the opportunity to remember that all the appointment for vaccines is being made by telephone and therefore it is vitally important to have the contact telephone number updated in the SIP system, something that can be done in this link.

Those who lack SIP and live in Xàbia can also request to be vaccinated at the email accredita@marinasalud.es or at their health center, providing a registration certificate less than three months old and their official identification document, as well as the number contact telephone number.

Likewise, Berruti recalled that, through the Red Cross, support is being provided for the transfer to people who have mobility problems to go to the vaccination center. Those who require this service can call 96 579 19 61.
