The Xàbia Services department is preparing the beaches for the start of the summer season. For a few days, the machines have been leveling the pebble beaches such as Montañar, La Grava, La granadella y Barraca. The areas where the seasonal services will be installed have also been developed after the auction process that ended today Monday.
Regarding this issue, there was a total of 90 proposals presented, the Councilor for Services, Kika Mata, Explained that "Entrepreneurs who have obtained the highest score in each of the concessions now have 10 days to formally accept and present all documentation before formalizing contracts." Five beach bars have been tendered, two nautical concessions and the hammocks and umbrellas of La Grava, Portitxol and Granadella and El Arenal.
Also in matters of beaches, the Arenal already has surveillance and lifesaving for the bath from this weekend. This beach, being the only one of sand and the one that greater use presents, is every summer the first to have surveillance. At the moment, the service is provided from 11 to 19 hours. From the second half of June it will be extended to all beaches.
