Xàbia orders the closure of seven Arenal premises: they have 10 days to cease their activity

30 March 2022 - 16: 13

El Javea Town Hall has decreed the closure and cessation of activity of seven restaurants and leisure establishments located at Punta del Arenal for lacking the required opening license.

The premises opened to the public in their day through a "responsible declaration", a temporary and regulated document that is valid while the Administration resolves the definitive activity license, as this is a complicated procedure that can take time.

However, during the processing, both this City Council and other competent administrations have detected deficiencies that prevent them from granting this license. Deficiencies that during the time that the files have been open, have not been corrected by any of these seven premises.
At the same time, some of the premises have been sanctioned for failing to comply with other regulations, such as noise or safety regulations.

With the resolution of mandatory cessation of activity, which has been notified to those affected in recent days, the municipal administrative file is closed. Those responsible for the premises have a maximum period of ten days from receipt of the decree to make the closure of the premises effective.

As of that date, an inspection will be carried out to verify if the closing has been fulfilled and, if not, the subsidiary execution of the agreement will be activated.

The businesses will be able to reopen once the definitive activity license has been obtained, for which they will have to previously correct all the deficiencies of which they have been warned in the different phases of their files.

  1. Pepe Coloma says:

Uh…has it been ten days already or not yet? I say this because of the plaza given to the establishments at the end of the sandbank, because they are still open... what did Chulvi say? Will he negotiate it in court with the anti-fraud agency? to see if, in the end, who they investigate is him.

    • Ignacio says:

Yes, they have already passed and are still open. Edgar Slama, the owner of all, what a coincidence! He sticks out his chest and threatens to denounce the City Council. Everything in order at El Corralito Xabiero.

  2. ARGIMIRO says:

I SAY THAT THE LEVELS OF THE HOSPITALITY SHOULD BE THE SAME FOR ALL LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESSES. BUT THAT IT BE FULFILLED.

    Message for Ignatius:

No one, I repeat, NO ONE in Spain has ever agreed with ETARRAS and SEPARATISTS in a Government of Spain, ever.

Until now, only the PSOE, the political party of our Mayor, has done so.

Other members of the party resigned the day that Sánchez agreed with them. Many socialists ceased to be so the day the PSOE agreed with the ETA members.

It is a matter of information.

You tell me that "...the widespread corruption..."
That is another issue that has nothing to do with it, since it is all the Parties that are easily corrupted. But not all of them are capable of agreeing with murderers, kidnappers and extortionists like the ETARRAS.

If you don't know what you're talking about, don't lecture me on anything.

The honorability of a person, his values, is easy to verify according to the life he leads, what he swallows and how far he is able to go to have Power.

Chulvi has not ceased to be from the PSOE, he accepts that our Government agrees with ASSASSINS, this is a fact, he can always stop being from the PSOE, but being from the PSOE opens doors for those who have no scruples and are capable of agreeing with those who have murdered , kidnapped or extorted from good Spaniards.

    Ignatius yourself.
    Keep giving me lessons.

    • Conference proceedings says:

Just to refresh your memory. Aznar in 1996 is invested president with the votes of the PNV (Basque Nationalist Party) and CiU (Convergència i Unió). The leader of the PNV was Arzalluz, author of the phrase "Let ETA shake the tree and we will distribute the nuts." The leader of CiU was Jordi Pujol, the political father of Artur Mas, promoter of the procés. In other words, he agreed with Basque and Catalan nationalism and, in one of the two cases, with someone who justified terrorism and recognized that his party had the same interests as HB. Who was HB? … the formation that today is BILDU. Now, if you don't mind, check what you've written 😉

  4. Wolfgang says:

I live in Javea Since 1985….
Everything has changed….but unfortunately in a negative way!
I feel very sorry about that!
The background is probably found by financial or political interest's !!
Many things in my mind are MUCH more important.?!!!!
Javea wants to grow & grow…it seems there is no place anymore for understanding for their inhabitants….!

  5. Peter R. says:

The laws are there to be fulfilled, therefore... if there are deficiencies that are corrected. But I ask one thing. Let's see if someone knows how to answer me... In that area of Arenal, the restaurant establishments to be closed had been open for many years. I have lived in Jávea for 12 years now and coming on vacation I don't even remember. The place that is now called Botánico was Los Almendros of all life. Does someone want to explain to me how a place that had been operating for more than 30 years that I know, under different names, has been able to do so for so long and the City Council has not resolved the granting or denial of the activity license? Ah….that the taxes were charged. That is what mattered to the City Council, not security and rest… not to mention the abandonment of functions by not resolving the granting of licenses for so long.

    • Luis says:

All right. This situation is repeated with everything for not doing things right from the beginning. Everything is set up for the interests of cronyism looking for loopholes with shenanigans and tricks. And in the end everyone loses.

      • observant neighbor says:

I don't see it that way at all.
For a little over 10 years there are "a few" who are winning, and a lot, thanks to Chulvi's direction. The same, always.
        Inform yourself

        • Luis says:

The clientelist beach bar is from the time of Zaplana, he invented it himself. See if you have years to have seen it.

    • David says:

I think there was an understanding among the businesses, town hall and neighbors for many years. However once Bambula started blasting "club" type music until late at night some residents had had enough. I have every sympathy with their complaint and little with the Javea company who pushed things too far.

  6. Martin says:

A city destroys its own infrastructure instead of trying to preserve the rest of the good restaurants after the beach between Arenal and Puerto turned into a desert. A city is destroying itself.

    • Ignacio says:

No, the tourists will always come "to feed us" and throw peanuts at us for our cuteness...By the way, Javea is not a city. How many cities have you seen as tiny as the population of Javea? And with a non-existent “infrastructure”. It is not possible to destroy what has never existed, but illegal activities can and must be stopped.

  7. Manuel Andres Zamorano says:

“All of them present deficiencies that during the time that the files have been open, have not been corrected by any of these seven premises and in parallel, some of the premises have been sanctioned for failing to comply with other regulations, such as noise, safety or hygiene” . And the same must be extended to any other premises, in the same circumstances, whatever it may be...

  8. Laura says:

I do not understand anything! Half of the Arenal is loaded. Everything closed and abandoned is going to be much better of course! Not to mention the jobs that are going to be lost. And just before Easter, after two years in which those holidays were very bad for tourism in Javea. And people talk about closing more stores? I suppose it must be people who hate Javea a lot because those of us who like Javea feel very sorry for this way of spoiling things.

    • Maria Pons says:

Of course woman, it is better that there are no laws and to be able to open businesses without going through them, right?
These businesses have been set up going over the safety and hygiene requirements that the Community of Valencia forces the rest of us to comply with.
But you think they do well.
      Ok.
      Yourself.

      • Luis says:

Because Miss Laura is left without a bar, that is the problem for her. Laura, if you are so interested in the loss of jobs, have you ever wondered what conditions and with what type of employment contracts you can work in illegal establishments? When you go to a party, do you worry about whether the waiters have a contract or if their working conditions are abusive? Or if the service is quality? That is what is needed and not illegal "chiringuitos" that abuse people who need to work.

    • citizen says:

      Laura:
Law enforcement, and upholding security, you call "messing things up." Think.

  9. Elisa says:

7 local? What about La Boemia, who should have thrown away everything he has mounted on the upper or covered terrace, and if not, he would throw it away.

yuntamiento and they had to pay it? Doesn't that place close? La Jijonenca, another one just like it has a beach bar on the deck

    • Defender of Jávea says:

Dear Elisa, if you don't like the establishments in Xàbia, I politely ask you to go to Dénia to make someone else dizzy.
      Have a nice day.

      • Nicholas III says:

        His thing is elegance.
I imagine that you are the owner or relative of one of the establishments that go through everything and the laws are for others, right?
Why don't you go to Russia, they will let you do whatever you want there, I asked about Putin.

      • Luis says:

Dear defender of Jávea, don't you have a better way to defend Jávea than kicking people out for asking and commenting on the obvious? Just to ask and comment….I suppose that later he will advertise Jávea as the ideal place to live….IF you keep quiet of course…

    • Defender of Javea says:

Dear Elisa, if you are not satisfied with the establishments currently in operation in Xàbia, go have a coffee in Dénia and be dizzy elsewhere.
      Have a nice day.

      • Nicholas III says:

I imagine that you are the owner or relative of one of the establishments that go through everything and the laws are for others, right?

      • Luis says:

Here again "The defender" playing the tyrant.

  10. José Ángel says:

Javea is like that western movie called “The Lawless City”, but not now; It has been for many years. More than notorious example, "La siesta".

  11. David royce says:

Please do an article on why La Siesta is still open. Nobody understands it, although it is a great place!

    • Luis says:

Good suggestion! I'm in, I want to know too. We have the right to know how some businesses have the approval of the public institutions that we all pay for. That would be transparency and not that beach bar of "The anti-fraud office"

  12. Headaches says:

Are they going to close it the same way they closed La Siesta?

    Hahahahahaha

What a Circus Chulvi has set up in these more than 10 years, it seems like an African country without a government, long live anarchy!!!!!

    Shame on us, pathetic!!!!!

    • Ignacio says:

Open since 2015, they have had a long time to get those licenses. Full of files for various irregularities that have not even bothered to fix and yet have continued to be open. Galloping corruption they take advantage of that but everything is the same. When one day they enter the tourist rental licenses, we are going to have a party. Most don't even have them and there they are cheating and speculating.

      • Justin says:

Incompetence to Power, is a fashion that sweeps!
In the end, we are fools who do things well, that's right, a constant insult, day after day, day after day...
