The Xàbia Services department is repairing the network of access trails to the Portitxol coves, such as Barraca and the Sardinera. In this plan, which is practically executed, it was included in addition to the adequacy of the paths, the installation of wooden talanqueras in some sections of the coast, renovation of bins or provision of bike parking, among others.

The signaling of accesses on foot or the information on the environmental values of the coves has also been improved, measures that want to promote their sustainable use.

This block of actions also included road painting and placement of control barriers that were used in summer to regulate access.
