Starting next Monday, the construction company that has reformed the sidewalks of Avenida del Plà will begin to remove the paving and place the finish that was reflected in the contract, as ordered from the Consistory.

However, from the construction company they claimed that they did not have the agreed material at that time and, to expedite the work and that the sidewalk was passable as soon as possible, they decided to use another of the same quality, ensuring that the result would be optimal.
From the Consistory it has been insisted that the paving is not correct and the finishes are not up to the requirements of the municipality. That is why they have ordered the company to withdraw it and replace it with the contracted one.
From the Xàbia works department they report that the process will begin on Monday, February 17, with two teams working simultaneously, so it is estimated that in one week it will be finished.
The City Council wants to apologize in advance to the neighbors and businesses affected by this new nuisance but insist that this repair is necessary so that the sidewalk is in the best conditions and has a greater durability.
