Councilor for Sports, Alberto Tur, Along the Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, have presented the new local sports information magazine. The publication brings together all the sports services offered by Xàbia as well as the activities and registration for the municipal sports schools for the next course.
The councilor for sports has pointed out that the edition of a new guide represents a presentation to both citizens and visitors of the entire sports offer that Xàbia has, "whether in facilities, classes, calendar of events or clubs, in addition to the different programs promote the practice of sports for all audiences".
The guide can be purchased free of charge at tourism offices, sports facilities, on the municipal website (soon) or you can check the schedules and activities through the APP.
Registration for municipal activities
From August 1st to September 10th, all families who wish to do so will be able to enroll their children, or themselves, in the sports activities they want through the APP Sporttia.
The classes will have a maximum number of places, but once this number is exceeded, a waiting list will be created in order to accommodate all those interested when a cancellation is made, even once the course has started.
The price of the activities varies according to the program being 70 euros per course in the INICIA'T program (municipal sports schools). In this category are: badminton, paddle tennis, motor skills, psycho-sports, mountain biking, futsal, swimming and – as a novelty this year, initiation and improvement in skating.
At the level of adults, under the program 'In Motion' functional training, therapeutic swimming or for adults, gap/aerobics and zumba are offered, in addition to the group Supera't aimed at people with functional diversity.
In this sense, the councilor has added that in addition to the specific group -aimed above all at people with a degree of disability and autonomy that makes inclusion in another group difficult- and that it will be carried out in collaboration with the association Condemned to curb, inclusive groups will also be formed at the same time and environment as the rest of the schoolchildren.
Tur has talked about the other initiatives that Sports promotes throughout the year, such as the Xàbia Esports Educa program (within schools and free), the Dona i Esport cycle or the days of the Day of l'Esport and the Festa de l 'Sport.
Club offer
In addition to the municipal offer, there is a wide offer that comes from clubs and specialized entities such as Martial Arts, basketball, athletics, cycling, chess, pigeon farming, soccer, gymnastics, handball, hockey, mountaineering, nautical activities, pilota, rugby, volleyball. or tennis, among others.
