The Department of Sports Javea Town Hall has updated the bases that regulate aid to local athletes. The department headed by Alberto Tur has set aside 12.000 euros to help with the expenses that sports preparation and training require of athletes, who have become references and models for youth, in order to promote their improvement.
All athletes between 9 years and 35 years of age (completed during 2019) and who are registered in Xàbia for at least two years or belong to a local sports club also for the minor for two years will be eligible for aid. .
These grants are established exclusively for federated athletes or those with a school license who achieve any of the top five positions in official comxicotetions and those who require assuming expenses for travel or overnight stays in order to carry out their training.
These aids are not compatible with other aid programs, subsidies or scholarships, nor will those who receive periodic remuneration for sports practice under a professional or semi-professional contract be eligible for them.
The assessment criteria will take into account the international, national, regional and provincial titles that the applicant has until the date the application submission period expires. Likewise, the athlete's qualification and their family income level, and other particular aspects of social scope will be assessed.
The bases, which aim to gain operational status and facilitate the processing of the beneficiaries with respect to those in force until now, were unanimously approved yesterday in the plenary session of the City Council and will be available on the municipal website to prepare the documentation for when the term for request them; 20 business days once they are published in the Official Gazette of the Province.
