In light of this tragic event, the council has agreed to declare two days of official mourning, during which flags will be flown at half-mast on all municipal buildings.
In an official statement, the Town Hall has expressed its solidarity and support for the family of the deceased, expressing the feeling of grief shared by the residents of Xàbia.
The Fogueres Commission reports that the local festival program will continue with the appropriate adjustments. A minute of silence will be observed at the beginning of each event, as a sign of respect, beginning with this afternoon's bullfighting session. Likewise, any festive events that coincide with the burial time, scheduled for tomorrow, will be canceled (time has yet to be confirmed).
