Xàbia cuts access to the river and sea areas by the great storm of sea and wind

The Gorgos river flow is reaching its limit as it passes through Xàbia. After confirming that it has overflowed in the municipality of Jalón, Local Police and Civil Protection taking the maximum precautions in this situation.

All the accesses to the river as well as to the maritime areas have been cut to traffic and pedestrian crossing: First Montañar and Paseo de Duanes de la Mar that present a situation of multiple destruction, as in the area of ​​Cala Blanca and the beach del Arenal, where the sea storm has swallowed the sand dam built days before.

It should be noted that although there have been destruction in the Arenal with the displacement of the stone seats, its realization has prevented major damage. In Cala Blanca there have also been numerous destruction on wooden benches, promenade and entrances to homes.

A situation that reminds us of the damage suffered in the 2017 storm.

The security forces ask that citizens do not approach the coastal strip and refrain from taking photos and videos to avoid risks. It is also recommended not to circulate or leave home unless necessary.
