Xàbia has constituted this week the Xarxa de Salut of the municipality. A space for participation that will work to promote local health and will serve both to detect problems and to propose projects that favor improvements in public health and quality of life of the population.
La mayor of Health, Rita Berruti, explained that different professional sectors linked to public health are represented in this forum, municipal departments such as social services, addiction prevention or the police and local groups such as the Red Cross, pensioners, school groups or the local Autism Association.
Berruti points out that in the first meeting of this table the importance and the need to work together in health matters have been revealed. Xàbia is part of the Xarxa Salut, the network of municipalities of the Valencian Community committed to the development of the IV Community Health Plan.
