Today, December 13, Xàbia has experienced one of the most traditional festivals in the municipality, Santa Lucía. As usual, the pilgrimage has started at 10 am from the historic center to the hermitage. The members of the commission that makes it up this year along with the mayor have participated in it, José Chulvi, and several members of the Municipal Corporation.
Once at the top, the mass was celebrated, officiated by the parish priest and the vicar of the St. Bartholomew Church. After the Eucharist, the procession with the images of Santa Lucía and Santa Bárbara took place around the hermitage.
As usual, the mayorales have made the traditional distribution of chocolate and bamboo to all attendees, as well as the raffle of a painting with the image of the saint. In addition, the Mayors and Mayasas of next year who will be exactly 33 people have been announced at Mass.
