Religious events mark the last big days of celebration in honor of the Mare de Déu de Loreto de Xàbia. The streets of the fishing neighborhood of Duanes de la Mar welcome the passage of images: that of Cristo del Mar and the Virgin of Loreto.
Last night, hundreds of neighbors, representatives of the different festive entities of Xàbia and municipal authorities participated in the procession of the Santísimo Cristo del Mar. The members of the Penya Liatrix were in charge of carrying the image that came from the Parish of Nuestra Señora del Loreto after the performance of the Eucharist and toured the main streets of this urban center in the presence of neighbors and visitors.
This Friday night, September 8, will be the culmination of the festivities with the procession of the Virgin of Loreto and the subsequent fireworks shot. A fireworks display launched from the sea, in the Grava beach, may be the end of the 2023 edition of the festivities.
