The streets of Xàbia's historic center were filled with music, color, and a good atmosphere yesterday for the traditional "Quintades Day." A day marked by reunions, fun, and intergenerational celebration.
From early morning, the town vibrated with the energy of the various "quintades," which gathered to enjoy communal lunches, bands, and moments of conviviality in a festive and exciting atmosphere.
Quintades Parade
One of the highlights of the day was the parade of quintades, which, despite being very sunny and hot, wound through the streets from the Portal del Clot to the bullring. The Quintàs celebrating their 2025 anniversary: 'Tots per l'Aire', 'A Grapats', 'No m'aguante ni de peu', and 'l'Aldarullà' were responsible for organizing it. Although not all of them were present, the younger groups did enjoy this traditional event.
After the parade, the quintades (traditional bullfighting group) gathered at the bullring on Avenida Palmela. There, participants participated in popular games and water activities.
The celebration of this special day dedicated to the fifths continued into the afternoon with a varied program of musical performances, which kept the festivities alive until the early hours of the morning.
