Xàbia starts the Volta a Peu a la Marina with a multitude of activities and news in the race

Xàbia will give the starting signal to the Circuit a Peu to the Marina Alta next February 23 with many new features. As every year, Xàbia opens this series of 10km races, with the Volta a Peu a Xàbia, which in this edition presents changes in its route and a wide schedule of parallel activities.

On the one hand, due to the works that are being carried out on Avenida dels Furs and the Triana Bridge, the route will have a slight change, "But it will continue going by the sea and with departure and finish at the Palau d'esports. The route is flat and will have two refreshment points"explained the president of the Llebeig Athletics Club, Madelane Powell.

For his part, the sports councilor, Alberto Tur, has highlighted that this year, the celebration of the Volta a Peu joins the programming of parallel activities that also coincide with the sustainability line that is launched in 2020.

Sustainable actions

In the dynamics of Club Llebeig for turning sporting events into the most sustainable; the water that they will offer to the runners will be in tetrabrick or from sources or drums arranged by Amjasa, the available glasses will be made from corn and as for food, there will be no industrial pastries, but sweets and fruits from the area.

For the correct coordination and safety of the race, 100 volunteers, Local Police, Civil Protection and Red Cross will participate, although from the club they call to have more volunteers who can help in the course of the tour.
