El Javea Town Hall Yesterday, a meeting of spokespersons was held to discuss issues related to urban mobility, both regarding the reception and impact of specific measures that are being adopted to give more spaces to the pedestrian or to the hospitality industry following the COVID-19 crisis and the challenges structural that need to be addressed.
The spokespersons agreed to prepare a document that reflects the commitment of all the parties to work together to improve mobility in Xàbia under safety and sustainability criteria, as well as to provide definitive solutions to emblematic spaces such as the first Montañar.
The municipal representatives will hold technical meetings with the departments of Citizen Security and Public Roads to clarify the basic lines of this project and have opted to commission an updated urban mobility plan to include it in the documents of the General Plan for Urban Planning. They also agreed to convene the Municipal Town Planning Council as soon as possible to involve it in this challenge.
The spokespersons meeting discussed other issues such as the status of the concession of the lighthouse of the Cap de Sant Antoni to be able to give it a public use as an interpretation center linked to the Natural Park Montgó.
